Privacy Policy
SureTech Services · Effective
This Privacy Policy explains how SureTech Services (“SureTech,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit suretechservices.com, contact us, or use our in-home, drop-off and remote computer repair services. By using the Site or our services, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you call, email, fill out our contact form, or book a repair, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, and a description of the problem with your device.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site automatically receives basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from server logs, cookies and similar technologies.
Information on your devices during service. When we repair, maintain or remotely support your computer, we may be able to see files, accounts and settings stored on it. See “Your devices and data during repairs” below.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and schedule service
- Perform repairs, remote support and maintenance
- Send estimates, invoices and service updates
- Follow up on completed work and, if you agree, ask for a review
- Operate, secure and improve the Site
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Your devices and data during repairs
We access only the files and settings needed to diagnose and complete your repair. We do not browse personal documents, photos or email unless you ask us to (for example, to recover or transfer specific files).
If we need to back up your data to complete a repair or transfer, we delete that backup once the computer has been returned to you and the work is confirmed complete.
For remote support, we connect only with your permission, and you can see the session and end it at any time.
We recommend keeping your own backup of important files before any repair. While we take great care, we are not responsible for data that was already damaged or lost before service.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies, small files stored in your browser, to make the Site work and to understand how visitors use it. We may use analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) that collect information about your visit and report it to us in aggregate.
You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Some parts of the Site may not work properly without them. To opt out of Google Analytics, you can use Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Third-party services
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business and the Site, and only as needed for that purpose. These may include our website host, website plugins and content delivery services, email providers, remote support software, and payment processors. These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies.
The Site links to our pages on social networks such as Facebook and X (Twitter), and may show reviews from Google. If you click those links, those sites’ privacy policies apply.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Comments and testimonials
If you leave a comment on the Site or give us a testimonial, the name and content you provide may be displayed publicly. We will only publish a testimonial with your permission, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
How long we keep information
We keep contact and service records for as long as needed to provide service and continue serving our active clients, keep business and tax records, and handle any warranty questions, and then delete or anonymize them. Customer data backups made during repairs are deleted as described above.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) website connection and limited access to customer records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or business records
- Stop sending you follow-up or marketing messages
To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
